MicrocosmWorks can deliver a privacy-first retail analytics platform that uses computer vision to extract rich behavioral insights without storing any personally identifiable information. The system processes video feeds entirely on edge devices, converting raw footage into anonymous trajectory data before anything leaves the store premises.

Heatmaps, dwell time analysis, queue monitoring, and zone-based conversion funnels give retailers the same depth of behavioral analytics that e-commerce platforms enjoy, while maintaining full compliance with global privacy regulations. Dashboard-driven insights directly inform staffing schedules, store layout optimization, promotional placement, and real-time queue management alerts.

System Architecture

The platform uses an edge-first processing architecture where NVIDIA Jetson or equivalent edge devices run lightweight detection and tracking models directly on camera feeds, emitting only anonymized coordinate data to the cloud backend. No video frames or images are transmitted or stored beyond the edge device's rolling buffer, which is overwritten every 60 seconds. The cloud layer aggregates anonymous trajectory data from all store locations, runs spatial analytics, and serves interactive dashboards and automated alerting to store operations teams.
